"You can change the world..."

finally back from trenton, missouri. still pretty tired and even a little sick.

there were various projects at different locations. nick and i were part of the "wrecking crew." at first i thought we would be destorying stuff or tearing a house down. instead we were part of a roofing job. id have to say roofing was tough but i enjoyed ever second of it.

a couple cool experiences through roofing

  • got to use a nail gun. you feel like a man after using it
  • the thought that you could fall at any time. its a rush.
  • also used one of those electric hand saws. pretty awesome.
  • the feeling that you are some kind of professional handy man. there is something about having tools around your waist(tape measurer, chalk line deal, jimmy's olympia hammer, and a pouch of nails[various sizes])

well here are some photos from the world changers mission trip

Spring break and more...

Joon, Min, Stefan, and Nick= my spring break.

pretty much hung out every day. here's a list of the things we did.

Monday

  • met up with christine for lunch. chipotle. we talked about important things. dating?? what?!
  • golf range(indian creek... i think it was monday) stefan made alot of farting noises while min was hitting balls. the weather was great.
  • monday night went over to sams to watch golden state vs. our mavs. we lost but we definitely got to see "the fan" (barea) in action.

Tuesday

  • dont really remember tuesday. what did we do guys

Wednesday

  • we went to the range again with sam this time. got a jumbo size bucket. after the range on marsh lane, me, sam, and min played at UTD's par 3. my very first time playing on a "course." hit another jumbo bucket. my wrist still aches but it was worth it.
  • had dinner at willowbend mall. suki hana and chik-fil-a. wish i had american chicken instead.
  • on the way to jimmy's, nick raced a gs300. stefan asked the dude if he wanted to race. nicks sonata was victorious!!! korean power!!! NOT!
  • after all the golf action, mavs vs. suns over at jimmys. double OT thriller. amazing game. nash was/is too good.

Thursday

  • thursday i gave andrew a tennis lesson. ate some spaghetti and left for the movies. christine joined the carrollton bunch to watch 300. great movie. makes you want to kill someone. lol. im not joking. after the movies i took christine home and then stopped by jimmys garage. pastor john, sam and jimmy worked on jimmys brakes. the beamer looks and is great.
  • after jimmys i went over to stefans to join the carrollton bunch. we watched datelines "catch a predator" special. they pretty much catch child molestors. pretty sad....but they are dangerous

Friday

  • went to lunch with the the young adult guys(jimmy, ed, and sam) Jakes Joint.
  • had paht-bing-soo(red bean ice cream) at tae gook dang. with the carrollton folks minus stefan. delicious. nick got a pretty cool hair cut. lol.

Satruday

  • BotM meeting. sam's very special kim chee ji gae was for lunch.

thats was my spring break.

God's encouraging Words and a personal shout-out

Before I prepare for bible study I like to open up with prayer and a little devotional. I use biblegateway.com once in a while to look up verses for bible study. Well, today(Feb. 24) I went on the site because I wanted to read the Verse of the Day they provide. And guess what it was...

Jeremiah 29:11-13

“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

This is a special verse because it is the theme scripture of DBU, the school where I will be transferring to next semester. Just running into those verses felt like a message from Him. Heres the link--> http://www.dbu.edu/about/mission.asp Cool huh?

alex

Happy 16th Birthday to Mr. Alex Lee. Hope you have a good one man.

Being a loyal, die-hard fan.

Being a loyal, die-hard fan definetly has its ups and downs. --^ ups feel awesome:  seeing your team win a championship, rivalry game, making an interception to seal the deal, hitting the winning buzzer beater in 3 OTs. but the downs are the real test. The downs can be heart breaking and stressful: blowing a huge lead then losing the game, a simple loss in a perfect season, calls that dont go your way in crucial situations. it can suck sometimes being a loyal, die-hard fan because of the stress. but its all part of being a loyal, die-hard fan .

I'm a Sooner born,
And a Sooner bred,
And when I die
I'll be Sooner dead!

gotta give credit to boise state. the last play of the game faked the world.
